2018-2019 School Calendar

The calendar approved by the Board is the “Compromise Calendar” that utilizes Non-Traditional Instruction Days (NTIDS) to meet the 180-day instruction requirement and to finish the first semester before Christmas break.  NTIDs were established by West Virginia Board of Education Policy 3234 to allow counties flexibility in providing instruction in a non-traditional manner. School districts may utilize up to five days of non-traditional instruction each school year.

On NTIDs, all employees report to work; however, students receive instruction or complete assignments in an alternate setting, such as their homes.  Teachers are available to assist students either by Skype, email, or phone.
